Junior doctors strike !

The junior doctor ballot for industrial action closed with the majority of those taking part voting YES in favour of strike action. With 97.64% of those voting in favour of taking industrial action, the junior doctors have made it clear that providing a credible pay offer, that begins to address pay erosion, is the only way forward in their pay dispute.

It is now confirmed that the first round of strike action in Wales will be a full 72 hour walk out of junior doctors (including GP registrars), taking place between 7am Monday 15 January 2024 and 7am Thursday 18 January 2024.
